Living Legends Concert at Yiddish Summer Weimar 2024 // with Alan Bern, Mark Kovnatskiy, Adam Stinga, Marin Bunea, and Laurent Clouet

Klezmotivn is a trio based in Ghent, Belgium, featuring Pieter Sint Nicolaas (trumpet), Naum Sint Nicolaas (double bass, vocals) and Olga Abramenko (piano, vocals). The band’s repertoire ranges from traditional klezmer music for dance and for listening to Romanes romances and popular songs from Odesa.

Zinnekelekh is a Yiddishisation of “zinneke,” which means “mongrel” in the traditional Brussels dialect. The Brussels-based 8-piece klezmer band encapsulates an unexpected mix of cultures: Jewish and non-Jewish; Francophone, Dutch-speaking and Anglophone; with roots from Andalusia to St. Petersburg. United by a love of klezmer, the band came together following the first edition of the Shtetl Saint-Gilles klezmer in 2018 and continues to play together at numerous workshops, jams, and concerts throughout Belgium. Zinnekelekh features instruments that are traditionally present in a klezmer kapelye alongside more recent newcomers to the style.

La Finestra is a duo featuring Pieter Sint Nicolaas (trumpet) and Aryna Tsytlianok (organ). Specializing in 20th-century repertoire, the duo explores new sounds and colors in the vibrant acoustics of both church and concert hall.
